After working in the travel industry for 12 years, Ruth qualified in nutrition in 2000 and since then has had a full and varied career.
Beginning with her independent nutrition clinics in the City of London for large corporations such as Credit Suisse, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank, Ruth’s clinics grew to include media companies, including the BBC, where she also advised on various projects.
With a strong interest in mental health and addictions, Ruth then moved into the role of lead Nutritionist for the Priory Group in South West London, as well as consulting for other addiction, rehabilitation clinics and as an advisor to a large group of schools who provided special needs education for children and young adults with autism.
In 2013, Ruth launched Crucial Food …. Delivering healthy food to private clients and local businesses, as well as providing catering both privately and for events in the film, TV and music industries.
In 2015, she fulfilled a long-term ambition and opened the Crucial Café at a large health club in West London, which included deliveries for businesses across London as well as catering events. In 2020 the Café was unfortunately forced to close due to the global pandemic.
Ruth is taking this as an opportunity to write her first book, sharing recipes and nutrition knowledge, along with coaching catering companies on nutrition, regular social media posts and continuing with her passion for providing practical nutritional advice.
